Hello all, I'm considering an Aquamist system for my R56 Mini Cooper S.

Problem is that there is a MAP sensor on the intercooler piping, which leads me to the question:

If I plan to run water/methanol mix, won't injecting before the MAP sensor foul it out?

I was planning on injecting behind it, but that's only about 8-10" from the throttle body. If I can inject before the MAP sensor, I think it would be alot better as it would have more time post intercooler to atomize, but I don't want to run the risk of damaging the sensor and being stranded on the side of the road.

I'll post a pick up in a little bit, I'm at work right now.

Any news on this - is it really better to place nozzle BEFORE MAP sensor?
Also, on Mini / Peugeot cars there is a temperature sensor near MAP, is it better to inject before temperature sensor as well?

This depends on how you are going to tune the car. If injecting before the temp sensor, the sensor will see the cooler temps and advance the timing. If you change your tune significantly for this, be sure to have the failsafe hooked up.

Attached is a picture of the typical install we have performed.

good, this is exactly where I wanted to put my injector as well!

can you please tell me at what angle to the intake hose should I install the injector?
should it be 90? to the hose or it is better to try putting it at some smallet angle for better atomization of the spray in the intake air?

90 degrees is fine as you want it to spray across the airstream for the best mixing.
