Richard, I have a question pertaining to my particular setup. With the adjustability of the HFS-6 in terms of duty-cycle vs. fuel, which nozzles would it make the most sense to use in my direct-port setup? I currently have (4) 0.4mm nozzles, and (4) 4-scroll 0.3mm nozzles. I will be running 450cc injectors.

Two reason for this thread:

1. I have not been playing around with those control panels for a while, so a quick test post was the order of the day. :?

2. I have not been able or learn to delete this thread, so rather risking in crashing the entire forum, I changed the heading of this thread.

Richard,

How much better do you think my atomization will be with the new 160psi pump vs. the older 125 psi pump? I am running a direct port system with (6) .4mm jets.

Thanks, and I can't wait to install my HFS-6!!

Richard L

I am sure the atomisation will be better, have a look at the chart below.

6x 0.4mm, wow is it for an infinite? Post some pictures. Don't forget ro use a secondary 30micron filter. I have signed in the my350Z forum, you are pretty busy there, especially your 1000whp project!

Thanks for the chart Richard, Yes its going into my G35 it is a stroked 4.15L VQ with APS Extreme twin turbo, I don't feel like spending money on 100octane fuel when direct port water injection will do much more than 100 octane with out paying $8-10/Gal.

I am only running 100% distilled water and plan on running 20-25% W/F ratio. My friend Gurgen and I are the only ones with this setup as far as I know.

I will post some pictures of the progress when I get the jets in :)

Going for 700rwhp on pump gas :D

Hi Richard

I am building an STi for the street, running a twin scroll GT35R with Motec M800 for engine management.
Should I integrate the HFS-6 to be controlled by the Motec? Or does it have to be run standalone?

Cheers
Dennis

Richard L
03-03-2009, 01:37 PM
The choice is completely up you. I suggest running the HFS-6 as it is for the time being, IDC mirroring + trim.

If you use motec map, you may have to add all sort of air/engine temperature compensation, acc/decel enrichment and road speed correction etc. Make it a more complex affair.

Now you can make more money off of your investment by asking for bail out funds on the reasoning that you incurred bad debt in the purchase and you need to cover and profit off of others mistakes.

Jack, you have exposed my grand scam, in order to extort money from the public, you must make an offer to the government they cannot refuse. Wall street is a better bet than General motors (after careful considerations).

The bulb (led) are not easily changeable. It is easier to buy a spare gauge (when available). Gauge is plug and play.

The HFS-6 will be using a different type of fittings to the normal push on type.

It is a combination of compression and barb on the pressure side. Good for the water and 100% methanol.

Sweetness, thank you!

Richard L
27-03-2009, 10:07 AM
On the HFS-6, 90% of the components (inluding mechanical fittings) are new from all our previous kits, so testing each item after assembly is vital for the long term reliability. We rather get blame for being late than sending out suspect assembly.

We have addessed every suggestion from feedback on previous systems. This is a flagship system that we would like to be as perfect as we can.

Here are two new items we have introduced to the HFS-6 system amongst others.

Left: restrictors with orifice facing the direction of flow to reduce clogging. Right: compression fittings

Richard,

Are all your 0.3mm jets 4-scroll now? I was checking the flow/psi table for jets listed in the HFS-6 manual, and comparing it to the old flow chart I have from when I got my HFS-5. The 0.3mm jet flow is significantly higher in the HFS-6 manual's table.

You can have eith 3-scroll of 4. The I would stick to 4-scroll since the HFS-6 can be rescaled to reduce flow.
