Hi, I'm in Italy, scuse me for my English.
I have buy a aquamist system 2d, and I want install this on my mini coper s 2005.
I have see the beautifull installation here in this forum, but I have any question:
In the aquamist box I have 3 jet, 0.7-0.8-0.9
What jet I can install? and at what pressure? (I want use 50% water 50% methanol)
And the pressure sensor where can I install? next jet is good?
last question, what is the difference if I connect the two wire (red and green) at the fuel injector o if I connect the red wire at 12v switched?
tanks

Sorry for the delay.

I think a 0.7mm jet will be good. I thinh the system shoudl come on at about 5 psi. (factory set to 10psi). I would insrtall the pressure (with rem,ote hose) to any where after the intercooler.

It is better to connect the red wire to fuerl injector (+). Or ignition switch position 2 (pre-cranking). Never at the accessories 12V supply.

I guess you have seen this installation?

Hi, I have install all, all ok, now I test the system.
But a question: for a good work it is better to install a small jet with high pressure or large jet with low pressure?
thanks

For the mini. Go for a 0.7mm jet for 50% methanol.

Hi Richard, I'm working a lot, but when can put my photos.

Now my system have a problem,
when I turn on the engine, the red light comes on for 5 seconds and when I go, and the system should inject the water, the red led comes on again.
I have tested, if I unplug the hose from the regulator valve to the speed valve, the pump runs faster and the blue LED lights.
as I go, the green LED on the FIA 2d beats normally and when I push, the red led on fia 2d beats normaly.
The fuse are good.
I have a problem at the speed valve? or wath?
thanks.

If the red led comes on, it is most probably a small amount of air is in the system.

Once you have air in the system the system will re-start , trying to re-prime the system. Try loosen one of the blanking plug on the 806-201, allowing water/air to vent off the system. Once primed, the water will leak out of the plug steadily.

thanks, I have do this and I have eliminate the air in the system, and I have riscontrate a red wire from the level tank disconnected.
Now I have reconnected this and I haven' led on but the system dont'go.
To test the sistem I procede in this mode: I disconnect the two wire (blue and black) from the pressure sensor and I turn on the engine but the system don't inject, (inject to 1/2 sec) and stop.
Is this a right mode to test?
I have do any test: the red and green wire from the injector ar right connected,
I have cut the green wire and connect this at ground and the system go
I have connect the red wire of HSV at +12 and the brown wire at ground and the HSV go, but every so often wrong, does not go. If I slightly unscrew and re screw the HSV, go.
I have control the voltage to the HSV red 12,5 brown 13,75 with engine on. why? Si correct?
I do an error to test the system? or I have a problem in my system?
thanks thanks Richard and scuse me to do at you this problem.

If you ground the brown wire and the system does not go, it is probably due to system pressure is sety too high. The system is set to 100psi from the factory. This is done by calibrating the 806-162 pressure switch.

If the system pressure is too high, it will stop the HSV from opening. There is a small washer inside the HSV, please remove it carefully and keep it somewhere safe. Reassemble HSV.... See picture.

Hi Richard, I bother you again.
My hi speed valve don't open again.
this night I have use my car and the system is go 5 min and stop.
My system is setting at 5 bar pressure (806162) and the system is setting to open at 0,2/0,3 bar (806157).
I have do an other test: if I disconnect the pump (zero press in the hose), the HSV work (when the system must inject) and this is right.
If I have pressure in the hose (5bar) the HSV don't open. WHI? I don't understand
Scuse me again. Thanks

Can you take a picture of the rubber seat? It is in the center of the spider. If there is a dimple on rubber surface may be damaged. What mixture are you using? water/methanol?

I do not think a tire problem on the spider, but solenoid valve that hangs under stress,

I think the indent on the rubber is the problem I will send you a new spider. Can I post it to you?

Yes, you want my adress?

Please email it to me. richard@aquamist.co.uk

The indent may be done when one of the wire to the 806-162 came loose. The pump can generate upto 20 bars.

Hi Richard,
After 3 months of the replacement of the spider, I have the same problem, the HSV does not open.
I don't much use my car and last month I have checked the system to solve the problem.
I have not air in the circuit, now I have removed the washer under the spider as you told me you last time.
Now Hsv works, but my question is for how long? and why this problem occurs?
It almost seems that the hsv has not enough strength to open the circuit.
Thanks
