Hi
Yesterday i installed my hfs-3 kit from the group buy.
Is it normal, when i do the bar test of the gauge (jumper link in bar),i only can go from 0-5 elements of the 8 element bargraph display with the sensor calibration ??
When i do system test (full flow??),i also can adjust from 1-5 with the sc.
Hope you understand me.

The initial test is for brief visual confirmation of the system is working as designed. For more a refined calibration of the gauge and failsafe window, you have to do it in driving conditions.

The sensor calibration jumper link is designed to verify the bar graph is working correctly and the connection to the gauge is sound. It has nothing to do with the actual flow. You can also use this link to view where the failsafe window is set. "B" led activation denotes the flow is inside the failsafe window. Remove the link after test.

Thanks for the reply
I can't do a roadtest at the moment, maybe next week.
But at the moment i don't have to worry there is something wrong with my gauge.

Have you tested the gauge in the cal mode?

Hi
What do you mean with cal. mode??
I put the jumper in bar test and turn with the sc button,i only can go from 0-5 elements.
Is that normal?I understand this function is to test bargraph. But the last 3 elements doesn't light up.
Also when i do a sys test(jumper in sys),full flow(red led on),i only have 5 elements
Today i did a roadtest,everything works perfect.
The spray is progressive with load.
But the gauge doesn't go farther then 5 elements.
I turned the sc potentiometer in every position and then full throttle.
If i turn the sc compleet to one side,i have 5 elements.Compleet to the other side i have no elements.
I don't know the duty cycle of my injectors,i'm runnig 850cc on a ej22 subaru engine with a gt35r.I did the test on 1.5bar boost(470hp)

Hope you can help me and understand me.

I meant bar test, Sorry. In bar tes mode, you should get all 8 bars. This is not normal.

Just a matter of interest, Can you remove the jet and let me know if you see all 8 bars in the open hose conditions when you link the "SYS" test jumper.

If the gauge displays all the bars, it will be just a matter of checking the restrictor, jet and SC.

You can put the jumper link onto FDC and view the duty cycle of your fuel injector. But we must get all the 8 bars to light up first. The previous test wil verify this.

Hi

I try to explain it as good as possibel,i just did the tests.
I did the bar test and can only go from 0-5 leds with 20 clicks

Then the sys test.
First with nozzle
I need to turn the sc full to the right (clockwise),to have 4 leds
If i turn the sc 5-6 cliks back to the left,i have 1or2 leds and the fail safe activates.(yellow led)

Without nozzle
I allready have 8 leds with the sc at 12-2 o'clock, don't have to turn farther then that.

The HFS-xx is configured for 2 jets standard. If you run only one jet, the system can be reflashed to optimised your flow range for one nozzle. I like to know the result of the "bar" test if you have a moment to measure test pin #21 with a DVM.

This are the test results with the jumper in BAR

sc full right (clockwise),gauge has 0leds, DVM reads 0.5v
sc in the middle, gauge has 2leds,DVM reads 1.64v
sc full left,gauge has 5 leds,dvm reads 2.8v

On closer examination, the BAR test span is shared with flow sensor, so you will not a a full display, just over way, approximately 5 bars.

We will probaby revised this on the next version.
