I have been reading multiple answers on the best place to put the nozzles. I am going to be running 2 smaller nozzles with a 50/50 mix, some people say it's best closer to the throttle body, some say closer to the exit of the intercooler to wet the intake tract. Should the two nozzles be close together or, further apart? Thanks.

Nozzle placement is very important on a water injection/methanol system.

We always advise to install the nozzles as far away from the throttle as possible to take full advantage of the cooling effect.

Longer distance allows more time for the cluster of water droplets to evaporate. This promotes good inlet tract cooling.

As the cluster reduces in size/mass with time (natural process of evaporation), this is a maked improvement of filling each cylinder more evenly. Larger droplet tends to starve the first cylinder and over-fills the back cylinders.

If best timing is based on knock level, in this case cylinder #1, the other cylinders will be overcooled.

Two inline nozzles with a gap of 3-6" will improve the continuity of water droplet distribution. Since we cannot alter the speed of the droplets arriving the cylinders between pulses, altering the distance of travel is the next best thing. In aquamist's case, it is not as important because the nozzle produces a wide range of droplet sizes so in time the doplets will merge duirng their journey to the cylinders.
