Virgin methanol should not be costing you 5 times that price!

Shop around and also consider buying a 205L drum.

As you can see from this thread, it is possible to purchase virgin methanol for less than the recovered stuff you posted.

cheers for the info, i can get 25l of virgin for ?40 from brenntag or 200l of 97% for ?110 from gumtree, due to being tuned for meth i shall steer clear of the cheap stuff. no doubt brenntag will work out cheaper for a big drum but just want enough to get me started.

Just buy 200l from Brenntag. Buying smaller quantities is a waste of money
