Hi all,

I want to use the orange wire of the grey harness to activate a solenoid hooked to my BOV (when the solenoid is activated, it vent the pressure in the BOV vacuum line, which open the BOV for evacuation of the boost pressure to atmosphere)

For activation of the solenoid, I need a 5V signal when the failsafe mode is engaged...however the orange wire gives an output to ground when the failsafe mode is engaged

What changes need to be done for the orange wire to give a +5V signal when the failsafe mode is engaged (my guess is that the FS0 jumper link must be changed to the FS1 jumper link, but I just want to be sure)?

Also, I initialy seted my failsafe with the brown and white wire hooked to my BCV (the one that control the wastegate)...do I have to unhook this for the orange wire failsafe to work?

Thanks

FSO and FSO flips the switching status of the failsafe. I think you have to change it to FS1.

I recommend you to use the brown/white as orgnge will not work with there is a power loss to the controller.

Hi Richard,

Could I used both the white/brown and orange wires failsafe at the same time

I understand what you mean about the orange wire failsafe not working in case of a power loss, but I like the instant action of the boost evacuation method

There is little speed difference between the two. May be about 0.005 s.
