Re: Subaru STi to HFS-3 wiring diagrams (2004-2011)
Yes, it is correct.
After you have removed the DHB, a yellow led on the gauge will be lit at "gauge off" mode. This reminds you the system is running high boost without water injection. Please confirm this. |
Re: Subaru STi to HFS-3 wiring diagrams (2004-2011)
That is exactly what happens. And the fail safes when the wmi is on seem to work just the same as before. Thanks.
Moving the jumper fron dr0 to dr1 did fix my check engine light. Now only to figure out why when the wmi goes to fail safe the car doesn't go totally to wastegate pressure of 15-16 instead it goes to about 20. |
Re: Subaru STi to HFS-3 wiring diagrams (2004-2011)
I assume you have setup the SC to display 5-6 bar under the manual activation test?
Have you set up the WL and WH? Try 10 am and 2 pm respectively. |
Re: Subaru STi to HFS-3 wiring diagrams (2004-2011)
Yes. Sc is set and the WL and WH are at about 8 and 1 set by a tuner.

Re: Subaru STi to HFS-3 wiring diagrams (2004-2011)
Unplug the grey harness, and see if the boost pressure drop down to wastegate. Don't it for too long in case it stays high as aquamist is unplugged.

Re: Subaru STi to HFS-3 wiring diagrams (2004-2011)
Hi Richard, will all this information be the same for the HSF-4? I haven't been able to find any 2012 STI installation info?
Thanks, |
Re: Subaru STi to HFS-3 wiring diagrams (2004-2011)
I will update the HFS4-v3 to sti soon. On the HFS4 forum.

Hello,
Just bought the HFS-3 kit from howertonengineering. Could someone help with the wiring diagram for 2011 WRX STI GRB SPEC C JDM Model. thanks Darwin |
Re: Subaru STi to HFS-3 wiring diagrams (2004-2013)
You might be able to match one of the ECUs on first page. Do a compare.

Re: Subaru STi to HFS-3 wiring diagrams (2004-2013)
Hi guys, I'm fitting a HFS3 system to a 2015 STi (new shape).
Has anyone done one yet - I need to confirm ECU pinouts for this model. Thanks. |
Re: Subaru STi to HFS-3 wiring diagrams (2004-2013)
Post a picture of the ECU so I can compare the wiring colours.

Re: Subaru STi to HFS-3 wiring diagrams (2004-2013)
Hi Richard,
May i have the hsf3 ecu wiring diagram for a 06 subaru wrx sti jdm ecu. My car is a 2006 subaru wrx sti s204. Thank you. |
Re: Subaru STi to HFS-3 wiring diagrams (2004-2013)
If you can take a picture of the ECU with pins exposed, I can make a new drawing. I must identify thje ECU first.

Re: Subaru STi to HFS-3 wiring diagrams (2004-2013)
Do you have ECU out diagram for 2005 SG5 Forester EUDM model?
|
Re: Subaru STi to HFS-3 wiring diagrams (2004-2013)
Can you take a picture of the unplugged ECU. This will help me identifying the ECU.

If I take a pic of the ECU pins, that would help? oh one more thing, when I disconnect the harness from the ECU to expose pins...do I need to disconnect battery terminals or anything? sorry never done this before :) cheers |
Re: Subaru STi to HFS-3 wiring diagrams (2004-2013)
No need to disconnect the battery, but ignition off.

Re: Subaru STi to HFS-3 wiring diagrams (2004-2013)
I have a factory service manual for my 2013 WRX. I am having issues finding a break down of the wiring connectors for the ECU. There is however pictures of the pins of the 4 connectors and they seem to match the 2013 STI. Do you know if the 2013 STI wiring diagram here will work for the 2013 WRX? I will be purchasing the HFS-3 soon to install in this car. Any info would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

Re: Subaru STi to HFS-3 wiring diagrams (2004-2013)
In most cases, the diagrams are interchangeable. If the pins and wire colour matches, it will work 99% of the time.
