This is the wiring diagram I used.. I wired the two cables into the fuel injector, the green IDC light flashes inside the control unit. But not on the guage...

I don't know if the photo uploaded properly so here's the link where I found the wiring diagram: http://www.aquamist.co.uk/HFS3/manual/HFS3-v3.0w.pdf

The diagram is used for a conventional fuel injection system, but it doesn't appear to work on your car so I suggest a few alternatives.

If you carry out my suggestion above, we will move forward.

Right,

I've moved the red lead to a pre-crank 12v+ and the relay clicking has now gone away! Thanks for the advice!

However I'm still not getting any red bars on the guage for idle/amount of water being pumped in..

When I rev it, I get the B light flashes then go out as the revs drop back down..

I'm still stuck how to fix this :/

I have the green wire from the grey harness wired into the brown/white lead off the fuel injector. The engine is an M52..

The green wire from the grey harness is wired into the Brown/white lead off of the fuel injector. The engine is an M52 if that helps.

I have also noticed some minor corrosion to one of the 3 pins on the black FAV assembly that plugs into the valve..
