Audi 2010 S4 Direct Port install HFS-4

Finally found time to get my pictures uploaded, enjoy.

I've always planned on putting a water/meth setup in my b8 since i got it. I was running a water/meth setup in my b5s4 and loved it.

About my setup.

I chose to run the Aquamist HFS-4 since it is designed to work with the direct port injection engines and properly inject based on the load of the fuel and the boost pressure.

Since its not easy to inject post charger, I was tossing back ideas on how to mount a nozzle on this engine. I originally was going to tap where the inlet flaps are. I contacted a few vendors to see if they were willing to make me some custom plates, but they didn't want to take it on. I was then contacted by Sean at SRM that he had something in the works and to look out for some great news. When SRM released their plates I purchased them immediately. I had him custom tap the plates for me for the Aquamist, they are normally 1/8 for other systems(you can see the plugs)

Right now i am running the system with my Stasis tune, I plan on going custom once I get my logging done. Car is running great. I plan on taking the charger off in 10k to see how well the meth is cleaning out the intake valves.

I am still working with Aquamist on setting up the failsafe to cut the boost on the charger.

Aquamist HFS-4
Alky Injection 3 gallon tank
All stainless lines with -4AN fittings
Aquamist Custom 96cc Checkvalve jets -6
Aquamist 6 port manifold
50/50 water/meth
SRM Injection Plates

I wont go into details on how to take the charger off, i have had it off before when i did my thermostat.

Everything fit great, hood has zero clearance issues with the added height. Some of the electrical lines going to the back of the charger are a tight fit, but still reach without having to modify anything.

The Controller:

The tank:

Pump is mounted on the bottom of the tank, made some custom lines.

SS line from the trunk to the engine.

I was surprised that I was able to get the line and all the wires through the factory grommet without cutting it, i used the same hole the ground wire came out of.

Mounted the Aquamist valve and flow sensor on the firewall, there are 2 factory holes that perfectly lined up to mount the bracket!

Tank I installed in the trunk using the factory mat and holders. The tank is completely removable, I have quick disconnects on the line. (Thanks Jones2012s4 for the great idea)

Wired up the controller to the ECU wires. (ignition, injector signal, MAP, rail pressure)

All wired in, there are a lot of wires to run, but the system makes it nice that they are all plug in.

Custom SS line i ran from the Aquamist valve to the manifold, i heat sleeved it also.

The SRM kit comes with new studs and spacers, they fit really well.

Thanks Richard, yes I do all my own work in my home garage. Since I drive the car daily, i did the wiring one day with the line to the trunk, then did the supercharger pull another.

The gauge is mounted on the dash, where did you relocate the light switch? It looks perfectly for it.

Most impressed.

Can't wait for the next stage.

Are the manifold spacing plates specially machined?

those cargo blocks will not hold that tank in the trunk when you take a fast turn. Trust me learned the hard way since my vw gti uses the same ones and I flipped the tank once. Get a BOX HOLD-DOWN STRAP KIT.

Yea a shop makes them custom for this motor.

Yea i noticed a ton of movement, i will have to figure out the best way to mount it down now. The tank did come with straps, but i wanted it to be easily removable, i may go with some velcro fabric straps and figure out how to mount them down.

Decided to do the gauge mount in carbon now.

Hello,

I am looking at following a very similar install to this can you tell me what nozzle size would be recommended for 450 hp? Also what thread/pitch are the nozzles? I am going to get the same custom made meth plate from SRM and I am deciding whether or not to mount in the trunk or somewhere in the engine bay. I have a 2013 b8.5 S4 and picked up a lightly use kit from a BMW owner, I am just waiting for it to get here. Is there a way to test out the pump and controller before hooking everything up? Aside from needing (6-7) custom nozzles and a 6 port manifold is there anything else I should be looking to order? TIA I am sorry for the rambling multi question post but trying to get thoughts out quickly as I think of things I may need or have to do still.
