Methanol 99.9% question

Hello,

i live in in Belgium and on my search to find pure methanol i found a shop that sells this:

ROTIPURAN? ≥99.9 %, p.a., ACS, ISO
Methyl alcohol, Carbinol
CH4O
M 32,04 g/mol
bp 64,7 ?C
D 0,79
flp 11 ?C . mp -98 ?C
ADR 3 (6.1) II / WGK 1
EG-No. 2006596 / UN-No. 1230
CAS-No. [67-56-1]
Danger H225-H301-H311-H331-H370

Guarantee analysis:
Assay (GC) ≥99,9 %
Colour (Hazen) ≤10
Solubility in H2O complies
Evaporation residue ≤0,0005 %
Acidity ≤0,0002 meq/g
Alkalinity ≤0,0002 meq/g
Water ≤0,05 %
Density (d 20 ?C/ 20 ?C) 0,791-0,793
Ethanol (GC) ≤0,05 %
Acetone ≤0,001 %
Acetaldehyde ≤0,001 %
Formaldehyde ≤0,001 %
Aluminium (Al) ≤0,00005 %

is this 99.9% methanol or is there another mixture in it? :)
I just want to be sure not to buy the wrong things

Thx

Re: Methanol 99.9% question

Any chemical supplier should be able to supply it. And buy a 200 litre drum, it's a lot cheaper than buying 20 litres at a time !

Re: Methanol 99.9% question

I for one am not interested in keeping a 200L drum of Methanol in my house :D

Managed to source some Methanol locally, at a shop that sells remote controlled cars/planes.

? 12 for 5L.. which makes about 10L of mix, and that should last me a bit.

Re: Methanol 99.9% question

Make sure the methanol from the remote controlled cars does not has additives such as castrol oil.

Check the 5L tank is not contaminated during decanting.
