BMW M4 GTS WI

Does anybody know if the factory direct port system used on the M4 GTS is sequential on each cylinder or common across all?

There are only three jets for 6 cylinders, not sure how it can be sequential.

Hi Richard,

The water jets looked to me to be designed more like fuel injectors in that they have a solenoid on jet arrangement rather than 3 dumb jets with 1 common solenoid. I figured that if they were designed that way that they'd run semi-sequentially much like a fuel injector. I just thought (if my assumption was correct) that the water injectors could be controlled (based on the injector numbering in the diagram you posted) in a 1 3 2 3 1 2 spraying order to line up with the straight six's 1 5 3 6 2 4 firing orders' intake strokes. That would mean whenever you had a piston on its intake stroke its corresponding water jet would fire with a fuel injector but obviously at the required pulse width. Yes it would be a wasted shot on that jets adjacent cylinder in that pairing, but you'd cut your water consumption massively compared to blanket spraying across all 3 jets all the time when only 1 cylinder is on an intake stroke. I'm probably completely wrong but they looked like injectors to me and that seemed like the logical way to run it.
