The temp gauge you have in between your DDS3 and Boost gauge whats that measuring? And how much was your DDS3 worth? And i like your water tank in the boot too!

At the time of the pic it was the the temp of my garage, i was bloody cold ! Its now in the inlet track so i can see my inlet temps. Got my dds3 for ?150, bargain.

There is still the jet in the inlet pipe to fit so i will take a pic when i get it back !

Is there anyway to test all of the systems ?

Richard L 23-02-2006 11:33 PM

Very neat install. Thanks for posting the pictures.

You can test the system by clipping the jet on the screen, over next few days, it can be used as a windscreen de-icer if you put 50% methanol in a separate tank.

If you disconnect any one wire on the MPS (manifold pressure switch), you can activate the system by getting a normally closed push button.

Don't forget to fill you tank up with 25-50% methanol to avoid any damage to the water pump.

I saw the 43C on the dash gauge, was it measuring the heat soak on your intercooler exit pipe?

I think it's 4.3'c richard  Ashtal how did you rig up that intake air temp display it looks very neat, i want to do the same thing myself..

The intake temp sensor is very simple, Two wires connected to the cig lighter and the sensor i put into the inlet track.

All i did was tape the sensor head to the metal pipe and fix the hose over it as normal. Courtenay sport sell them for the astra turbo, but they would work on any car.

Is the methanol a mast have ? I aint got round to gettin any yet !

It was 4.3 degrees, which was the temp in my garage when i was fitting the dds3 and 1s kit !

When should the priming pump kick in ? Dont think its working !

Regarding the location of the pump -----> doesn't it get full of water in that place if the car is parked in the rain? All the water coming down from the windscreen ends up there, doesn't it?

It does, but the pump is raised to a piece of alloy and so is the flow sensor. I even put some rubber grommets beteen the pump and bracket to reduce vibration !

Sorry its a bad pic, had a new camera phone that day !
