Pump life. How long? I give up!

I noticed that these aquatec 5800 pumps can hold pressure quite easily when new. Give it a few weeks in your daily driver and it can no longer hold the pressure. Let me explain what I mean by "holding pressure"

When new, with a gauge connected where my solenoid would have been, If you turn on the car or pump and let it pressurize and then switch it off, you will notice that the pressure is still present on the line even though the pump has stopped running.

Do this after a few weeks and noticed that when the pump is shut off it no longer holds pressure as the fluid now starts to leak past the seals in the pump!

Eventually, the pump will not be able to run and maintain an appreciable pressure

Who is the water injection manufacturer of your system?
