injector size on 1400CC turbo renault????
 

i would like to know how to calculate the size of injector i need.

i have a Renault 5 GT Turbo 1400cc 4cilinder engine running on 1,5bar (22 PSI) boost.

problem is that mij exhaust temperature is getting to high.(above 1060 degrees centigrade)

engine is not running lean.


i want to get mij temperature back to about 900 degrees

someone can tell me more?

i run roughly 200cc of straight water in mine, (1500cc engine at about the same boost). if your mixing with meth probably go bigger.

high egts could be the tune also
have you tried running less boost and more ignition advance? etc..

If you know the max duty cycle of your injectors and their flow rate you can work out the max fuel flow, normally you want to inject around 15% of water based on your max fuel flow.

Best bet`s trial and error with some tuning, what works for one engine may not be the best for another.

Good idea to try more ignition advance, the WI may allow you to do this without knock.
