Engine Air Ionizer

An air ioniser (or negative ion generator or "Chizhevsky's chandelier") is a device that uses high voltage to ionise (electrically charge) air molecules.

Doing some research and found this https://youtu.be/xHNZ78bttRE

The seller states that uses high voltage from the firing ignition lead to ionize air somewhat. Although this surely looks bull**** scam the theory might actually work in a similar situation?

Re: Engine Air Ionizer

Back 20 years ago there's a product in the summit magazine that was a negative ionizer for fuel. They tested it on a 700 horsepower big block Chevy and got 20 more horsepower out of the engine. It used about 50 watts of power and put a negative charge on the fuel going into the carburetor.I know a guy with that device on 70 Charger and knocked off .15 in the quarter mile.

Any details how this actually work ?

Re: Engine Air Ionizer

Basically just a negative ion generator with the emitter submerged in the fuel line.

Re: Engine Air Ionizer

Pictures and diagrams would be better to understand the setup like brand of generator/emitter used.

Also proof of theory that works with and without ioniser on a dyno etc...
