windshield fluid???
 

hello, i am new to water injection. i put a supercharger in my ford ranger and want to up the boost. i just finished installing a water/methanol injection kit. now im having trouble finding methanol. (just as everyone else dose the first time) i here alot of people telling me to use winshield washer fluid....now to me that sounds like a "rigged" way to do it. the people that are telling me to do it are people i dont really know. and i wanted to know what you guys thought. than'x mike :?:

The closest alternative to methanol is ethanol. The aquamist piston pump is not suitable to run ethanol. But most systems that based on Shurflo pump is OK.

Denaturaed alcohol can be used instead of ethanol but there are other chemicals within the mix that is not good for the pump seal, but only in very small concentrations.

What do you guys think of using wiper fluid? I use it but I feel like the dye might cause me problems.
