Default Using plugs for nozzle mounting?

I am looking at an M57 powered X5D for a next vehicle. The swirl flaps in the intake manifold can get clogged, or break and fall into the engine. The cure for this is a swirl flap plug

They are either Ø22 or Ø33mm by 15ish tall.

They seem, at least to me, a good place to mount direct port nozzles as they are at the "end" of the upper intake manifold, and can be easily removed.

Richard et al, what would be the best way to mount the nozzles? I was thinking to tap the back of the plug to the nozzle thread, and have the end inserted into the manifold opened up.
Would a recess around the nozzle|_--_| be better, or just an angle cut around it \__/? If angle cut, what angle would be best? I'll be using PN 806-493 if it matters.
