806-244 valve gone bad
My high speed valve has melted the covering off the wires at the body of the valve and is now leaking from the "weep" hole on the body. Any idea how this could happen. Its a 2c system run through an autronic SM4 ecu in an evo 9 rally car.

The high speed valve must have experiernced some high temperarture enviroment or been pulsed at a continuos duty. Sometimes in the absence of flow due to air surge, the HSV's internal is no longer being cooled by the water flowing through it.
What PWM frequency is used to pulse the valve?

40hz probably did not get hot from the enviorment. could have had an air surge but would have been very very short time

40Hz is fine.
The black sealant on the valve body gets soft at 100C and melts at 150C. The only plausible explanation is temperature. The item is not repairable at this state.

If you can return the unit, I can open it up and see if it is repairable.

Is there a way to add a primer pump to my 2c system that might help this to not happen again? Any suggestions for a nice tank with baffles in it? Around a gallon.
