Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 3.6l
Hey gang,
I finally was able to get some off-road time and more importantly some time at altitude and on the granite. Normally I de-badge and fly no logos but see if you can spot the Aquamist logo. This video was shot at an altitude of 7,400ft a few days ago in the California Sierras. https://youtu.be/uuCDrZs99gY And this video is at barely above sea level on a hot day doing a well known off-road hill climb in Hollister California. I was boosting and spraying all the way up. https://youtu.be/82yFJMuKdFA edit: This was the first time at altitude and second time off-road for both the HFS-4 as well as the blower. In low gear, I was definitely not throwing full boost at the motor but was definitely boosting and doing some spraying. Most of the spraying was done on the 3 hour highway trip from sea level to the trail altitude. I was worried about the tank getting too dusty so I threw a small towel over it both times and that not only kept the direct sunlight off of the tanks but also the dust. Re: Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 3.6l
Still a 9/10 to 10/10 trail that was not even the Rubicon Trail.
I may fiddle with the spray next time I am at altitude to make it come on a tad sooner. When running the transfer case in low range it does not come on as soon and seems like I could be spraying a little more on the trail. |

More videos expected?
If you have an onboard camera film the aquamist gauge in action would be nice.

There was an onboard camera in this video. It was a full on HD camcorder (with a good mic) so that it is why it was bouncing around. The Aquamist gauge and boost gauge are in the a-pillar and visible. There is a better close up at the end of the video. https://youtu.be/2NIWNk3Uf_0 I'll try to get better video of the gauge in action. |

This is a great video, amazing throttle response. Running through the gear pretty quickly!
Aquamist is behaving well! Thanks for the video.

Re: Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 3.6l
Keep a few other things in mind.... those are 37" tires and bead lock wheels that weigh in at 120 lbs. each. The jeep is also a 5,500 lb. unaerodynamic brick.
You would think that a long since retired, factory trained Mazda and Subaru master tech might pick a different project. Last edited by FI_Rubicon; 04-07-2016 at 10:43 PM. |
