A large part of the theory behind water injection is that some of the water will get evenly distributed into the cylinders to cool the chamber and suppress detonation.
Spraying before the IC means that is unlikely to happen. If charge temps are cool, you'll just fill the IC core with water. If they are hot...the water may boil off....then possibly re condense inside the IC core. Neither are ideal scenarios. You really need to establish actual charge temps first before worrying too much. And also find out exactly what your CR is. |
