Question W/M INJ on FOCUS RS MKII

G'day All,
I'm new to the WMI game and would like some information on set-up advice.

I'm looking at the HFS-4 kit for my 2010 Focus RS MkII. It's a dual purpose road/track car I've set up (currently) for time-attack/lap-spints.

My problem is the ambient temps where I live are very high (avg track temp is about 40 deg C) and thus running temps are killing me. I have been noticing AITs in excess of 50deg after my IC.

I'm not worried about my mods, they are all good to go. I want to add the WMI to combat temps and would like some advice on system compatibility with my setup and whether or not I can tie the WMI in with my current Aquamist IC spray so that they can operate in tandem or sequence to amplify or compliment the effects.

I'd like to use controller for the kit to control two seperate pumps so as not to have any pressure drop. The pumps are both the Aquamist DDP5800s, I'm not sure I actually need both or whether I can switch outlets either.

Does anyone know if this is feasible or if I will have to simply run two seperate controllers, one for IC and one for the WMI?

Thanks in advance!
John

The DDP5800 is capable of flowing over 2000cc/min at 150psi. All you need to get is a second solenoid valve. You can active it with a dash switch.

So one pump, two solenoids and an independant switch? Sounds simple enough! What do you think of the factory switches for IC spray as came standard on late EVOs and STIs? Will that suffice? And what solenoid? Same as the HFS kit FAV?
Thanks for the support!

Internal water injection is more effective by a 5:1 ratio (water consumption).

You can use the same valve as the HFS-3. I don't think it is worth it.

If you are worried about the IC being too hot, why not put a little nozzle before the IC? I know somewhere there is a pre-IC thread with temp differences.
