Default HSV is pulsing in conjuction with IDC.

HFS-5 V9.....Like the title says my HSV is pulsing on and off with Injector duty cycle. It gets faster when I give it more throttle. The two lights on my FIA (red and green) flash in tandom with the HSV. Any Ideas why this started to happen? The unit has only been installed about 8 months. Purchased new.

The hSV should only pulse with the injector after reaching the threshold. Let me know the serial number of the flow sensor.

Can you tell me where you purchased the HFS-5-v9 from, the HFS-5 v9 has been discontinued since August 2008 and replaced by the v10.

I purchased from Vivid Racing about 1 1/2 years ago so it sat aroung for a while before I installed it. The ser# of FS is 3789. Can you verify I have the proper conections to my ECU. I have the green trigger wire going to pin 17 (RW) and the red wire going to pin 1 (BO).

Your wiring of the red and green wire are perfect.

1. Can you tell me if the HSV still pulses if the system is not triggered. Check the blue wire is connected the the DDS3v9 junction board firmly. If you ground the blue wire the HSV should stop pulsing.

2. Check the red led on the DDS3 circuit board, is it lit all the time?

Here is a diagram closest to your system. I can make a proper diagram later for the Supra-OE ECU and v9 if it all works out.

Yes it always pulses even when not triggered but only when the engine is running. It does not pulse when the ignition is in the on position.

The blue wire is connected firmly.

If I ground the blue wire it does stop pulsing.

The red led is not lit all the time.

If I ground the green wire that feeds the FIA2 the pump turns on and the HSV opens (without pulsing) and flows water.

My current ecu is the AEM version2 if that makes any difference.

I assume the wiring diagram is the same for the HFS-6 as I have ordered one from Howerton Engineering. This is the wiring diagram I need for the supra but I would like to have the HSF-5 working for resale purposes.

It appears the DDS's pin25 is not controlling the FIA2. You need to return the board to us for repair.

Pin 25 should be stay grounded until the DDS3 system has reached the triggering point. Send the unit back to us to, just paypal us $20 to cover some repair time and postage.
