Datalogging HFS3v3
Hello forum.
I have a question regarding HFS-3 How can i get data log of 0 to 5 Volt? FIA2 Aquamist has a purple wire with voltage signal 0-100% Second question: Can i get 30 pin scheme (each pin purpose) Are there any useful pins for data logging and data graph (i marked these pins with green on the photo)? Thanks |

Re: Datalogging HFS3v3
Here are some useful pins for data logging:
#5 ........... System start-up: 12V = system on. #6 ........... Flow sensor signal: 0.5 to 4.5V #7 ........... Water level sensor: 0v= empty, 5v= not empty #8 ........... Fuel injector (-). not direct injection. #16 ......... IDC% signal: 0 to 5V #17 ......... MPS signal: 0 to 5V (signal conditioned) #18 ......... IDC% to the water injection valve #23 ......... System power: 12V (switched/fused)

You could describe these pins in manual, so that would bring more customers Last edited by sniper; 01-02-2014 at 10:18 PM. |

Would this be 0.5v = 0% flow and 4.5v = 100% flow? And I think more importantly can units for flow be better calculated by a procedure similar to finding the max flow during set up. Something like: -remove jet from intake. -Set unit to test. Collect fluid for set time (10, 30, or 60 seconds). -Measure amount of liquid and log voltage on pun 6. -create new voltage vs flow map .becomes .5v = '0 units of measured liquid per duration of test' (ex. 0cc/minute) and the voltage measured during the test is now equal to 'amount of liquid'/'duration of test time' (ex. 500cc/minute) Does that seem sane? Or is the max flow at 4.5v in an amount/time unit already known? Thanks! |

Re: Datalogging HFS3v3
Those pins are not static-protected so I rather use them as intended for remote diagnostic usage. They exist for the benefit for us and customer without working knowledge of our system but equipped with a simple $10 digital voltmeter.
It has been extremely useful since it was introduced. For more knowledgeable users, all they need to do is ask here.

Richard L at 402 meters there is no time to consider devices.
Everything that happens with the engine we look at dataloge after racing. |

What car is it? A 10s/quarter one?

Re: Datalogging HFS3v3
Wow, very impressive! How much power?
I can seem to see the data datalog. It will be quite interesting.
