Default Correct Jet Size 06 wrx 2.5L

Gooday

I have a hsf-3 and would like to know what the correct jet size would be to use if I was using 550cc injectors of which there are 4. I run a boost pressure of 1 bar.

Where is the best location for the jet instalation for maximum effectiveness post, or pre intercooler.

Thanks

For M50/W50, you should be running 20% of your total fuel flow. A 440cc/min. or 0.9mm jet will be a good starting point.

The best position is at the outlet of the IC, most effective for cooling and cylinder distribution.

Hi

I am running 100% water with 1.2 bar and still on the 550cc stock injectors and need to re-access what jet and restrictor I should be using with the HSF-3 setup. I have am a little worried about injecting more water than is required.

Secondly what threshold setting should be set after dialing it in during the setup procedure, it tells you to turn it fully anti clockwise but there is no instruction to revert this setting to the default 12 o'clock position

thank you

if you are running 100% water, 10-15% water to furl ratio is enough. So 220-330cc/min, it will be a 0.5mm to 0.7mm jet. Try a 0.6mm first.

Run threshold at 12 o'clock (default). Slow reduce it down to 10am.

Which version is your HFS3? Blue, black or red circuit board.

Thanks

It is the version with the black board, I only have the range of jets that came standard with the kit I have the red banded jet ( I think 0.7 mm) installed. Secondly What reducer/restrictor should I run in the FAV I installed the smallest one 0.5
At full throttle gauge only shows 3 bars about 30%

For the 0.7mm jet, use the smallest restrictor.

Try this jet first. If the engine bogs down, get a smaller jet to reduce the pump pressure.

or

Pour some methanol in the tank ~50%.

Hi Richard

Thanks, seems to be forking fine now.

Last question for now

W.R.T The threshold adjustment pot I would like to verify if I understand it correctly - the way I see it is, it is the threshold level of IDC required for the injection to commence

thanks

This is correct. 12%-42%-72% = 8am-12pm-4pm (threshold point to commence spray)
