Need help with wiring for 1998 Trans Am
I'm just wrapping up the HFS-3 v3 install on my 1998 Trans Am. I connected the grey ECU harness (Injector + wire) to the blue PCM connector pin 19 and the (Injector -) to the red PCM connector pin 33. When I turn the system on to check the wiring/electrical, I am not seeing any green LED's on the dash gauge, so it's not seeing/detecting the F-IDC. Do I have this connected correctly? Should I be using the blue MAP sensor wire an connecting that to the PCM as well? Do I need to use the green harness to connect to the injectors instead?
Thanks for the help! Zack Last edited by 1BadAzzWS6; 15-07-2015 at 11:08 AM. Reason: typo |

Re: Need help with wiring for 1998 Trans Am
The green led is not on the dash gauge. You need to open up the controller box. There is a green led there.

Success! I didn't realize I needed to open the controller. I went out and confirmed the green LED is flashing in rhythm with my engine speed. Thanks for your help. Now on to the mechanical testing and priming/purging. Thanks for your help! Zack |

Re: Need help with wiring for 1998 Trans Am
Hi again Richard.
So I'm at the tail end of my installation (been on hold for a bit while I was installing the rest of my supercharger setup). Everything is hooked up and working and I'm at the part where I need to install the jets into my intake tube. I chose 3 jets with my order, but my system only came with one "T". Should I have ordered a second "T" fitting or one of the distribution manifolds to connect the 3rd jet? Also should the jets be installed before or after the Intake Air Temp sensor? Thanks for your help! |
