Default HFS-4 Failsafe Activation

Greetings!

We have a customers car (Audi TT-RS) here who's system has stopped working. Under load there is no flow shown and the failsafe and water level lights come on.

I have no experience with this system and the install was done by another shop out of state.

I would like to start diagnosing the possible causes of the system(pump activation, clogs, injector) but first I want to make sure the wiring is ok.

I have a loose black and yellow wire near the relay. I also found a connector to a red and blue wire that are not connected to anything.

Do these wires go together? The wiring diagram is not very specific on these wires.

If they do. which way do they go? yellow to red or yellow to blue?

Any help will be much appreciated!

So the polarization of those wires do not matter.

I put them back together and I am still getting the failsafe activation light and water level light under load with no bars of injection.

Is there a list of diagnostic procedures to test the different systems to isolate the problem?

Probable causes of this issue?

The problem was found to be the pump relay, the system was installed in the engine bay. Surprised it lasted three years!
