Default HFS-3 Question

Hey Guys,

Just bought a HFS-3 from Howerton Engineering, and should recieve it soon.

I am thinking about what jet sizes I should go with. I have seen it mentioned that the sizes shown in the manual are for use with minimal tuning.

Before i move on to jet sizes however, I have another question. Using a hypothetical situation - If the gain is set to 1.5 and you have IDC's around 80% at 6000rpm, then the IDC of the meth system will be maxed out at 100% at 6000 rpm, therefore at all rpm points after 6000rpm the 1.5:1 ratio will begin decreasing....Is this correct?

BTW I will be using the system on an Evo 8

This is true and a good point. If your injectors do max out at 100% DC, you should not use the gain trimmer. If you want more flow just putting more jets.

This gain trimmer was intended for those who uses very large injector intended for E85 and when E85 is not available they use the H3 to suppliment of the pump fuel map (not maxed).
