Default WMI for M275 S65 AMG

Hi all

I have had experience with Methanol/water injection on my previous vehicle, a CL55 AMG Komp. I ended up putting 2 400cc injectors after the intercooler and it did work well. The engine failed on that car (failed oil control rings on all cylinders, probably due to a poor remap), so on wards to better things!

I am considering the aquamist sytem for my S65 AMG.

This engine has a different intake layout, considering its turbo charged, it looks like this:



This is somebody opinion of meth nozzle location. It is just before the throttle body and before the intake manifold. My worry with this location is that some cylinders will get less W/M than others?

My primary goal is for air inlet temperature reduction.

Additionally, the car will be tuned for approximately 700 bhp @ 25psi. Will I need to run two nozzles?

Additionally, is it normal to see a reduction in boost pressure when injected after the IC?

This post on a MB forum, shows somebody having this issue on a 600 engined car (same engine). The meth in that setup is being injected before both the MAP sensor and the air intake sensor.

Wondering why the boost pressure drops? Surely a reduced charge temperature should increase boost pressure?

Do you know if reduction torque in the same RPM?

Most engine managements limit the power when excessive torque is detected. They just partially shutting the throttle, hence boost reduction.

That's a good point, its possible that he is hitting a torque limiter in the map. The gearbox also limits torque output of the engine.

Can you recommend nozzle size for my application?
