Default help with 1s not pumping

I bought a 2nd hand 1s. Ive plumbed it all in however the pump isnt pumping. Ive removed one of the connectors from the pressure switch and the pump make a loud vibrating noise. But no water comes out. I have attached the hose to my washer bottle and I have sucked the water throught as far as the pump.

Could it be having a problem pulling it through the washer bottle pump?

They can be a bit hard to prime, take the outlet pipe off the pump (that goes to the jet) and it should make it a lot easier to prime up. If you`re not using a priming pump the resovoir needs to be higher than the pump and the delivery line needs to drop down so gravity can supply the pump, less chance of an airlock.

When the pump is dry inside, it won't prime.

You need to "force" some water into the pump with a 20cc syringe, once wet, it should work. Please let us know how you got on.

that worked a treat - thanks. What I actually did was use a washingup liquid bottle and squirted water in both ends of the pump.

I noticed all the jets are different colours, can you tell me what size each colour is please.

You can identify all the colour here.

The latest 0.7mm is red or Purple.
