Default HFS-3 v3.1

Hello Richard

I recently bought the new aquamist HFS-3 v3.1 kit. I bought this kit for a Toyota Celica GT4 ST205 rallycar. We work with a KMS MD35 ECU. Ive installed everything except the green cablekit. We only use one injector so i solderd link 1 and 2 together. And i connected the MAP signal from the ECU so i also solderd the MPS link on the circuitboard. I choose to work with 70% IDC and 30% MPS. So then it was time to test it. I followed the steps in the manual but there is one problem. I have the green light speeding up with the rpm but the controller doesn't inject . When i turn the threshold trimmer fully counter-clockwise it starts to inject , but when i turn it back to normal it stops.
I don't understand the problem. Could it have something to do about the resistance of the fuel injectors ? The Toyota injectors are 2,5 ohm but they work with an extra resistor module that adds 7,5 ohm so that is 10 ohm each .

I hope you can help me because in two weeks the car will compete in a rally.

Thank you
Simon

I think I know what the problem is.

The red wire of the grey connector has to connected to the other side of the resistor pack (where the 12v comes in). The green wire to the negative side of the injector.

The red wire has to see a steady 12V supply

Let me know.

Hello Richard

The red wire is connected to the positive side of the resistorpack. But the ground is connected with the injectors ground of the ECU. The cable is connected with all 4 of the injectors. Could this be the problem ?

When you said injector ground. It is not quite right.

The green wire has to be connected to the "pulse" side of the fuel injector.

Injectors.JPG

here you can see the connections of the ECU. We only use injectorrow 1

Hello Richard

I connected the green wire to the pulse side of one injector. So now from the red wire it goes to the resistorpack then to injector and then back to the green wire. The green light is working normal. But it doesn't inject until i turn the threshold between 8-9 o'clock. I also tried the idc amplifiers and now its at x2.50 and i still need to turn the threshold between 8-9 o clock.

I don't understand it anymore. I connected the green harness directly to the fuel injector and i put the idc amplifier to x2.50. It still wont start injecting untill i put the threshold between 8-9 o'clock. And if i undo the solder link from the MPS so it should only work with idc , it won't start even when i turn the threshold full counterclockwise.

The minimum "threshold" is 12%, when the car is idling, the dc % is less than 12%.
Do not do the x2.5, it won't help. It just make thing more complicated.

I like you to do the following...
1. put the idc amplifier back to x1. (carefully)
2. Put the "PRK" jumper link to FDC.
3. Go for as drive, tell me how bars across on the gauge at full throttle
