Default Aquamist mounting jet

Fits perfectly on the supra

I'm very happy with it, looks neat, much better to any other I've tried in the past on silicon or rubber hoses.

Come on Richard, bring some more sizes now!!!

Is the holder back to front?

I don't know, is it?

That's how it looked natural to me, and it works fine.
I don't see how I could push it through the hole if it were the other way round.
On the picture there is obviously a short length of hose connected followed by an "L" bend. Very convenient, as I can swap the nozzle without pulling it out from the barbed end --- just undoing the "L" bit

Unless the hole is tapered, you should be able to push it through from the other side.

I don't understand this.

1. There is a threaded aluminium thingie that looked like it's meant to be fitted temporarily so you can push the fitting through the tight hole. Was I wrong? It would not fit from the inside of the hose.

2. The thread of the nozzle was on this side. I didn't check if it went all the way to the other side though.

In any case, why would anyone want the large end on the inside of the hose? It would just stick out.
Now it's nice and tight inside, nothing sticks out.

If it really was meant to be the other way round, I'm very suprised and I would still fit it this way next time :?

edit:
I just looked at the relevant thread, and yes, I've done it the other way round http://www.aquamist.co.uk/phpBB2/vie...r=asc&start=15
It looks so natural on the inside, I can't bring myself to changing it now... :?

I didn't design the fitting so I can only go by what I was told.

Here is the original manual:
http://www.aquamist.co.uk/forum/adaptor-v1.pdf

Let me know if it makes sense?

It would be nice if I had seen the instructions before

Without them, my natural feeling was to do it the other way round. I am a Contrarian I guess

My take was that the insertion pillar is used to push the fitting, apparently it's meant to grab and pull it, lol...

Following the new-found instructions, the overall result looks neater on the outside, but not on the inside (where the large side sticks in the airflow)
Following my way, it looks neater on the inside but not on the outside. There is also some millimetres extra 'shrouding' of the nozzle, but I'm not sure if it makes any difference.

There was three pages of discussion on this adaptor on the ERL/Aqumist section. I believe it started on the June the 5th this year.
