Default GM IAT Sensor compatible with Methanol?

Is the generic GM IAT sensor (#25036751) safe to have methanol sprayed across it, long term?

The sensor has a plastic cage over the tip, and i obviously don't want to 'melt' this and send it through my engine.

I'd really appreciate any advice on this, or suggestions of a suitable alternative, if it's no good to use.

Thanks

unless the sensor material is made differently on all other cars, it should be OK, long term.
