Default Re: RICESP Water Injected RX7

Early photos hosted on imageshack?. One day would have to load up on another spot or my own site but little to no time to do that/forums.

^ Water Injection will outlast the internet and be around allot longer than E85 or any other crap way of making engines powerful and reliable

Here is a car running Richards fantastic WI system.....
Cant share info as its owners to talk about but video is enough to show how it goes at basic performance level.

Thumbs up Re: RICESP Water Injected RX7

^ Final settings on above constant ~27psi gauge pressure (sea level) or ~2850mB MAP. *30% more power than in the above video*
Car did 16+ minutes at full load (this boost, and rpm to 8500, 100% throttle) in average ambient temp days !33deg C.....

Remember, don't get LINK'd to the wrong ECU NOTE: unlike the shit box hype alternatives Life Racing will not damage an engine on gear cut limiters LOL, nor traction control, no knock control, and WILL work with racing M&W CDI systems Why people still fuck around with 'toys' when you can buy the same control units as use at Indy/LeMans and cutting edge motorsports is beyond me????

Next week updated Aquamist WI system is being fitted to match the race engine and it will be pushed further, all with reliability and proven durability

Thumbs up Re: RICESP Water Injected RX7

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MjI0...ature=youtu.be

^ Little video showing the RX7 in action, while I cant divulge specific details I can say the engine is run to its safe limits all of the time (gets raped each time its driven), thanks to the advanced Life Racing ECU and refined calibration to make it all work. There is many accumulate years of development to make all of this work, in this car alone required around 240+ iterations of the final set up just in the control systems alone.

None of this is easy, you cant copy it, you cant google it, you just have to know what you are doing, and most importantly have the right team of suppliers (Thanks Richard for the fantastic WI system!).

No requirement for a boat anchor up front (20B or even worse!)
No need for mad max E85 fuel drums
No excuse like its 'too hot bro" or "no E85 bro" or "Got no traction"

Exclamation Re: RICESP Water Injected RX7

It's all about knock control, running the engine to its limit (even a 100% standard delivered engine) when I was proving this system.

Water Injection, and a real not paper/internetz professional control box, and a person with a brain are all that is required. Seems simple but these days ironically it's harder than ever (too much wrong advice from nobodies on everything from shit electronics choices onwards) go figure!

FYI human reaction time to audio stimulus is around 0.170 seconds, given below example of 0.0066 seconds per cycle event, this means the rotary engine will knock>detonate at least 25 times before you lift your foot off the accelerator LOL "retarded" in every sense of the word, love the internetz education handed out by educatorz/trainerz/tutorz LOLZ

Anyway onto real qualified information:
It's easy with the right electronics/hardware/software, to not only see what is happening, but also manage it (100% stock standard 'fragile' rotary engine) running it to its knock limits all of the time in an active manner, and letting the ECU manage the spark timing. Counter to the 'shit advice' that proliferates the internetz blogs etc, this is the preferred way, counter to their claims of doom and gloom, ironically its opposite (wow surprise!) if you are NOT running a Life Racing ECU (set up correctly) you will have zero hope of relying on your new found 'pay to play' derived 'knowledge' since the nature of knock by the many variables that cause it means you have to run so far away from peak performance that you will either melt your turbine, have poor specific power, poorer fuel specific fuel consumption, and far less durability all rolled into one! p.s Would love to put up a jizzillion pages of information, but learned long ago too many copy it so as its all current technology stuff reserved only for the smart/loyal ones who know how to tell FACT from FICTION

Hmmmm, Really need to put up another graph of flat shift full throttle cuts example, with anti lag, and Traction Control!!! which some seem to get LINK'd to the wrong advice again LOL.........

Great work mate. Love watching you take it to the next level. I see you are using the twin solenoid manifold in that built. Are you using the larger pump in that build as well?

I enjoy seeing you and everyone else who does this seriously just as much, its what pushes all of us to do what we do. I remember the days when I was having 'debates' with total nobodies and self professed experts about the merits of water injection, such a fucking waste of my time. Today (not that it needed it!) while there is still ample bullshit and commentary from the youtube scammers and talking heads blogging their way to mediocrity one thing stands, and that is the total and utter superiority of water injection in the internal combustion engine. It's never been a better time to rediscover something that was proven so long ago.

Larger pumps in both cars now, correct.

Exclamation Re: RICESP Water Injected RX7

Just leave this here
Unlike the internet claims RR knows about ALL water injection systems, we do this daily and at the highest levels on all engine types.
We dyno another car yesterday with the good old RRWEP140 mechanical WI system on a 4cyl turbo road car and she did 965bhp as well, but have to leave that for another post, very hard to keep up with them all.
On this particular application, the calibration and figures are lets say...... you wont find it on the internetz :P
100kph to 150kph power band test in 3rd gear listed below = ~1.9 seconds, real road car, no BS excuses
