Default Led 5th injector notification

i have an escort rs turbo i have fitted it with a 5th injector and a mf2 unit with red plug

its all working perfectly but what i am trying to do is attach an led to the injector wire close to the injector and the led is going to be on my dashboard so that i know that the injector is working so i know im not going to damage my engine by running it too lean.

i need to know if this is possible i had a quick try but when i connected the led to the injector the injector stopped working. This was done using an led with a resistor to bring it to 5v which now i am not sure is correct.

I have found out that there is a +12v that goes to the injector so the feed must be - but it maybe +7v or something i am thinking?

Please help

Default Re: Led 5th injector notification

All you need to do is run a 12V led (with internal resistor) or any led with an external resistor (~1K ohm) across the twop wire that goes to the 5th injector (red/brown).
