Default Aquamist Jet Thread Pitch and Side (Inlet Side)

Wasn't sure where to post this, but I was looking to make a custom manifold to run 6 jets on my I6 engine. I was wondering what the inlet side of the jets thread pitch/size are?

Thanks

PS. If this is in the wrong location I apologize, but I do have a HFS-3

The inlet side of the jets is a push on hose tail ?

The threaded section that screws into your intake or pipework is M8x0.75mm

Correct, but the push on portion comes off so that you could use push to connect or other fittings. I am wondering what thread/size that is so that I can get fittings for my mock fuel rail type design that I am planning.

Am I way off here? I actually haven't received my HFS-3 yet, but based on the pictures on the website I assumed that the push to connect fittings were threaded into the jets after you remove the push on hose fitting.

The little hosetail section does screw onto the main jet body. No idea what that thread is, but the jet is designed to be used with it in place.

I guess you could remove it and configure it some other way...not sure of what benefit it might be ?

I wouldn't believe that the jet was specifically designed to be used with that hose tail as Howerton Engineering sells push to connect fittings that screw into the jet in place of the hosetail fitting.

The benefit of removing that hose tail would be the fact that I would be removing 6 small sections of hose. Instead I will be using a fuel rail/manifold that feeds 6 injectors. I will then only have mechanical joint connections to each jet and get rid of the nylon hose. The only place I will have hose is from the pump to the valve and from the valve to my custom manifold. It is a bit over the top and may not be necessary, but I have limited space to work in and it may be my best option.

I believe the fitting is a M8, but not sure if it may a BSP. Either way if I can figure out size and thread pitch that would be great.

I'll have a look later and see if I can measure.

The main thread is M8x0.75mm BSP is BSP threads, not metric. I'd think the internal thread is metric too given it's so small and fine.

I would appreciate it if you could measure it. I understand metric and BSP are different, I just didn't know if the main thread was the same as the inlet side of the jets or if the inlet has a BSP thread like the adapters the kit comes with. An easy test I planned on doing was just trying to thread one jet into the inlet side of another. If it worked then I would know it was M8x0.75mm, if not then I would have no idea.

As best I can tell. The OD of the thread measures 6.3mm, so basically 1/4"

Thread pitch, on imperial the thread gauge closest match is 25G, whatever that means.

Metric pitch it's exactly 1.0mm

Inside the jet. This jet must be about 18 years old ! lol, I assume they are still the same though. This one had a 4mm hosetail on the right hand piece in the photo.

The jet was 1/4" betweem 1992 to 2002. From then it changed to M6 x 0.5mm.
Those are the real museum piece.
