Default fail safe question

when the fail safe is activated for the manual boost controller should it stay engaged until the failsafe is shut off or does it energize the fail safe then turn back on in 3 to 5 seconds. im trying to use the maual boost controller wires to activate a relay that opens a large solenoid to vent boost. it initally activates opening the valve but then almost instantly shuts off and the valve closes.

On the HFS-3, failsafe cutout stays active for ~3 seconds and HFS-6 is user adjustable between 1-6 seconds.

Which system do you have?

The failsafe never turns the unit on and off, the system is always trying to spray correctly. Only the failsafe contacts switch per the user programmed time( on the 6), then the system looks to see if operation is correct and decides whether to keep the failsafe activated. It will do this repeatedly during the injection event.
