Lightbulb Newbie

Hi
looking for advise on install set up using a basic S1 with race pump.
hoping to reduce knock and increase engine life. any power increase would be a bonus.
R32GTR all new everything
N1 Block
HKS Stroker Crank 2.8 RPM aprox 8250 turbos stop producing power after 8000 rpm
Tomei Rods
Greddy cooling oil line pistons
nismo bearings
tomei oil pump
The Head has a very mild port done by Rod Bell
uprated springs + retainers
HKS 264 in / out cams
HKS linked manifolds
HKS 2530 turbos
Greddy inlet plenum
800 injectors
Apexi intercooler
Link ECU with 1.5bar map sensor
lm looking at installing tank and pump in trunk.
lve been told to inject pre-turbo this is a twin turbo set up
? how long will 1 ltr last (recommended tank size)
? can l use in tank foam to stop surge if using methanol.
? water only or water Methanol mix
? twin injectors 1 per turbo Pre-turbo or single injector after IC
? injector size
? what would happen if l ran out of water / water methanol.
? should l tune engine on fuel only first then add water injection later.
? Aquamist parts supplier local to Newcastle Sunderland area.
As l said lm a complete newbie to water injection and any advise would be much appreciated.

My answers in blue...

? how long will 1 ltr last (recommended tank size)
If you fit the largest nozzle (0.7mm) that comes with the kit, a litre will last under 4 minutes of spray.

? can l use in tank foam to stop surge if using methanol.
There are methanol resistant foams for the tank. Therare intended for alcohol cars.

? water only or water Methanol mix
M50:W50 is good all-year mix and a great performer. Warning: do not use hydrocarbon contaminated jugs or transfer pump.

? twin injectors 1 per turbo Pre-turbo or single injector after IC
One jet after IC is best.

? injector size
0.7mm for 100% water 1mm jet for M50:W50

? what would happen if l ran out of water / water methanol.
You need to fill it up again. Really, you need to re-priming the system once the pump has run dry. Try to prevent this from happening or risk damaging the oump.. The newer version of the 1s system comes with a water level sensor and will disable the pump automatically.

? should l tune engine on fuel only first then add water injection later.
I wouldn't tune the engine with water unless you have some form of failsafe to detect empty tank or block nozzles.

Thanks Richard
The more and more l read on this subject. the more l feel l need to upgrade the kit
maybe the HFS3 would be more suited to my application.
So that means a lot more money. l think lll get her run in, then save up for the more advanced HFS3.
