Don't think I've seen the closing edge done on any other rotors before? Bet their is some serious machine time in them
Yes mate,

I got a set made for a customer and the bill was $1200 for the machine work alone... its a lottery of a job to do to this level because the castings brand new from Mazda are Rubbish! I get in 5 sets of rotors at a time (sell stock ones and these RR spec race items) and even on one rotor all three faces are different! let alone other critical areas of the rotor where you are munging material away from it.

Some just cant be balanced or are too thin and some just have to be thrown away so thus the cost, add the new rotors price and you are looking at $2500 to get the above!

Mazda in Japan is sold out of the donor rotors (S4 turbo) I bought them all LOL, until next production run in late February, when they become available again I might get some more and keep these on the shelf.
