Default HFS-6 helps 2.8L Turbo Reach 685 RWHP on 93 octane

Hi all,

First I'd like to thank Jeff @ Howerton Engineering and Richard for their help in piecing out my HFS-6 setup and hooked me up with the right hardware/information to get going.

Here is the car:

Here's a video:

http://vimeo.com/16112762

My runs were done on 93 octane pump fuel (lukoil lol) with 50:50 water/meth. I am also running a 100% stock M50 non vanos (non-variable timing) head with 100% stock non vanos cams. The turbo is a PT76GTS and the 685 RWHP pull is at 28 - 29 psi. We cranked it up to 32 - 34 psi and added some timing to go for a glory run over 700 RWHP but the clutch let go.

Sorry about the torque - we lost RPM time after time on the dyno and since its an DynoJet its reading horsepower by taking the known mass of the roller and comparing it to acceleration of the roller over time so in this case torque is calculated, and without RPM it won't show - the number sshowing are bogus. I believe 120 MPH is around 5200 RPM which when mathed out yields 628 ft lbs of torque.

This is a step in the right direction. Definitely not where I want to be ultimately, but a step in the right direction. Building another motor for the car (no, this one didn't die, I drove it 70 miles home from the dyno I just want more displacement) this winter and coming out next year to try and crack 900+ on turbo cams, variable timing head, race gas, more boost, and more clutch. This run probably would have ticked over 700 rwhp had I just gone to redline - for some reason I stopped at 6900 RPM. Doh! 200 more RPMs left in her!

Thanks for looking!

Sweet ride! Jeff is finishing up (I hope) my HFS-6 setup as we speak. I am running 50-50 race gas and plan on running straight Meth. in my system, Pre-Charge and 2 nozzles between the S/C and Plenum (Intake manifold).

Even with that, I wont approach that much WHP.

Again, congrats on the numbers, sorry about the clutch. Thats a BUTTLOAD of boost sir.
