Default Aquamist controller failsafe to OE engine map

Hi Richard

Like to know if it is possible to do the below as a failsafe channel.

Car is a 2016 bmw M2 with EWG.

The car has 4 different modes of driving.

1. comfort
2. normal
3. sport
4. sport +

Say i would like normal system operation on all driving mode except for when comfort mode is selected. And also when failsafe is triggered it changes to comfort mode. In another words to have the Aquarist controller change map to COMFORT Mode.

All changes available manually at the Centre console control panel.

system component is s69 wired on the Front electronic module A173.

Please let me know what information you need and if it is feasible?

Thank you

If you know how the switch works, we can do it. It of the time it is just a bunch of resistor that requires bridging. Do you have the circuit diagram of the A173?

Thank you. I believe the entire suggestion is doable. The console comprised of just switches and resistor. It is a matter of finding the pair of wires that actives the comfort mode.

Can you check the resistance across the wires when the switch is pressed and unpressed:
I guest T_COMECO = comfort mode)

pin #3 and pin #7 of the s69 console for me. no need to have the engine on.

Just to be certain, check all the other switches have no affect on the two pins.

Hi Richard

Resistance across pins combinations as below with no engine start. And there is no change for any pins when switch is pressed. These switches are like a spring type switch goes back to original position after it is pressed. it is not like an analogue switch.

I have also confirmed all the colour coding of the wires and they are all correct.

T_comeco pin #3 pin#7 7.14 ohms
PDChdcsv pin #3 pin#1 3.62 ohms
FB_PDC pin #3 pin#2 63.1 ohms
T_sport pin #3 pin#6 7.14 ohms
T_dtc pin #3 pin#5 7.14 ohms

Hi Richard

one more question.

Is there a way where i can switch off the aquamist system or have a switch installed where i can bypass the aquamist system and have the vehicle run on a different map without spraying. More aggressive than stock but less aggressive than WMI tuned?

Thank you
