Default How Long Can Methanol Be Stored?

I have about 10 gallons of methanol mixed with distilled water (50/50 mix)
stored in my garage for about 2 years. Now that I'm getting my Aquamist water/alcohol set up going on my Evo, I'm wondering if this mixture will still be effective. Any information would greatly be appreciated.

Default long life

In a tightly sealed can it should last a very long time.

It would be good practice to run it through a filter incase you have any corrosion in the can (assuming its metal). Unlike Gasoling alcohol should not form a varnish or other deposits you have to worry about.

If it is a very low concentration of alcohol you might get some sort of slime, sludge or mold growing in there so again simple common sense checks like filtering or pouring into a clear bottle and check to see it is clear and does not have crud floating in it.

Thanks for the info. The mixture has been in a sealed plastic gasoline jug. I'll definitely filter the mixture and check for any debris before using it.
