Water Level and Water Injection Lights?
I have been dealing with a new issue for the past week where the water level and the water injection lights illuminate. I have also been dealing with more flow gauge bouncing. Not sure if they are related. Checked the flow of the jet on test. 0.8 was between 350-375 which is fine. Check the operation with the jet on the windshield and it is spraying appropriately even when the two Amber lights illuminate? Can this be caused by the yellow flow wire picking up noise? I know that is true for the bouncing gauge but the amber lights? Any help would be appreciated.
PS I am the original owner of the kit. The dials on my gauge have always been at 12 o'clock. Does this matter? Last edited by Wzabrouski; 29-04-2015 at 10:43 PM. |

Re: Water Level and Water Injection Lights?
I actually just tried to set the failsafe and the gauge is bouncing around so much I couldn't. I pulled the the flow switch out to see if it was noise and it was still bouncing with the wire ran out the hood and into the cabin. Could the flow switch be bad?

Re: Water Level and Water Injection Lights?
I think the bouncing gauge is most probably caused by induced noise and spike from the Di injectors. I believe is particularly common on the Ford focus, Mini and some VW.
The simplest solution is by slicing open a shirt section of the vinyl sleeving of the green harness near the RJ connector, pick out the white wire and cut it. It will stop the noise pollution. Please let me know. Once the interfere is gone, you can set up the failsafe properly.
