Default STI nozzle installation with FMIC piping?

I have an APS large front mounted intercooler on my sti, this gives me a lot of bendy 2.5inch pipework prior to my throttle body after the intercooler. I have an aftermarket ecu so I dont have a MAF sensor to worrry about. My non standard intake manifold has a much large plenum chamber than what the sti is normally fitted with. I beleive this gives me better intake distribution than the standard manifold which has been proven on the flow bench to flow more to some cylinders than others.
The primary purpose of me wanting WI is to provide insurance against detonation, my intercooler does a sufficient job at cooling the air.
Should I fit the nozzle immediately after the intercooler and risk water collecting on the pipes during the bends or fit the nozzle pointing directly at the throttle body?
OR,
Should I fit 4 small nozzles, one in each intake runner about 4 inches from the head?

I intend to run a mixture of 60% water, 40% meth which should give me good knock resistance. I just need more help on the physical installation options. I only want to fit the kit once.

Thanks,

This is where I installed mine (see the pics at the bottom of the thread) Click here

I run a Hyperflow FMIC, which is similar in design.

Cheers

Default water injector location

so far we have installed half a dozen kits. following Richard's advice
we usually install the the injector at the last bend before the throttle body.
he suggested 5~7 inches away from the throttle body to maximize the
cool of the air charge prior to entering the intake manifold.

Hi, I was wondering what type of jet placement I should do for my 08 STI with a TMIC.

I'm using 2 jets, one at the exit of the tmic, near the throttle body, and one at the entrance of the tmic, near the turbo exit.

Here's a link for the picture of the jets on my stock tmic...

is that a good jet placement? Should I just put both jets at the intercooler exit? Let me know what's my best option...

Thanks

That is the most ideal placement of the jets on a TMIC IMO.

Hi Richard, what size jets would you recommend on a 2011 STi spraying before intercooler and between throttle body and intercooler?

I'm looking at spraying 50:50 water meth. I fill 95 Ron pump fuel. My injectors, fuel pump, turbo are all stock. My boost target is +- 14,4 psi.

Thanks.

are you going to have the car tuned with 50:50?

Eventually yes, my immediate objective to is to suppress detonation by preventing heat soak of the tmic. I also wish to up the octane of our local 95 RON (pretty lousy fuel for performance).
