Default What size Nozzle

Hi, what size nozzle will I be looking for on a 5 ltr supercharged V8?

Looking at maybe 3, one on the inlet and 2 on the discharge side. And will the HFS-3 system be enough for my needs as this is the one I'm leaning towards.

Cheers

Can you tell me the size of your fuel injectors, intercoolled(?) and the estimated power output. The HFS-3 is capable to delive around 1500cc/min, enough for most car to 800-900bhp.

With the additional information from you, I can give you a better estimation of flow required.

Hi,

Long delay here!

The car is fitted with an ESS VT570 kit for the E39 M5, seeing between 7-9 PSI. The car is not intercooled either.
I've also decided to have only 2 post charger nozzles.
Power is in the region of 550- 570 hp crank.

Just found this out:

Injector size: 315cc @ 3 bar, Operating at 5bar base pressure in the M5.

Total flow of all eight injectors at 5 bar is 3253cc.

I'll be running mainly water with occassional splash of 50/50 mix.

So, just need to know what nozzle sizes I need.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Lee

Here are the recommeded flow and jets:

100% water: 10-15% to fuel ratio (325cc-488cc) ....... 2x 0.6mm jet
M50/W50: 15-20% to fuel ratio (488cc-660cc) ......... 2x 0.8m jet.

I allow 20% extra flow to compensate system losses.

Richard

Hi Richard,

Thanks for the response, I'll order the HFS-3 now with x2 0.6mm nozzles.

Do you know roughly what my consumption will be, for deciding on tank size?

Also what yields do you think I'll see? My primary purpose is to prevent heat soak, but any power increase would not be frowned upon :-).

Hi Richard,

Can you advise me here please, I requested the HFS-3 kit with x2 0.6mm nozzles, the vendor is asking

Regarding the jets, do you know the hosetail size you need?
806 309 or 806 339.

What do you recommend for my application?

Regards,

Lee
