Default How flammable is 50 x 50 mix of water and meths?

Hello I'm new to the board and I got recommended to here from sdminus, a good friend of mine.

I've already found the knowledge on here very helpful in placing my water jet and install.

I'm thinking of adding a little methanol to the mix, What I'm unsure of is, if I have say a 50 x 50 mix of water and methanol. If I back off the throttle and some gets blown out thought the blow off valve, into the engine bay, How dangerous is this would you say???

Is Methanol and water at 50 x 50 mix still very flammable?

Any thoughts on this would be much appreciated and could stop me blowing my self up lol.

thanks Mark

I've been using 50/50 mix for years and don't treat it as flammable at all.
There is simply too much water in there.

I run 25% water 75% methanol and peak flow is 1.2l/min, also have a blow off valve and it dumps into the engine bayand I`ve had no problems yet. The fact that it`s a gass may make it more explosive but the only thing that`d set it off would be a spark I would have though.

Was thinking of adding a tube to the BOV to blow off under the car, or recirculate it back into the inlet.
