Default HSF-3 pump not working

Richard,
I recently had to replace my trunk wire, 6mm line and the +12 volt line, due to these lines being severed/cut into, I ordered new and installed however upon trying to purge my 6mm line using the Sys. test jumper from the FAV, the pump will not run, I contacted Jeff @ Howerton, he informed me it may be that due to the trunk wires being severed, I could have blown a transistor on the board that drives the relay. The pump does run when jumped straight to the battery, but neighter the old or the new relay will start the pump under Sys. test.
Please help

Ralph

Hello Ralph,

I only just found this, apologies for the delay.

What is the serial number of the HFS3 controller?

Richard, S/N is 101424,
I have tested the relays ( the new one and the old one) straight from 12 volt and they operate fine, also tested from the red trunk wire 12+ to ground and they both work, but the relays will not work from the controller, I think somehow the ground is missing from the blue trunk wire 12-, and I have tested both red and blue for continuity, I think that my controller was damaged when the trunk and 12+ pump wire were cut into because I had no blown fuses, any ideas please??

Most likely the blue wire is driven down to ground by a transistor on the circuit board. You can either replace the transistor yourself if you are good with a soldering iron. If not, send the controller back to me and I will repair it for you., We don't charge for repairs.
