Default Re: Install HFS-3 on DI engines - any need to connect MAP sensor?

Richard,

On my car (Peugeot 207RC/GTI) I already have first oxygen sensor as WB (not NB!).
Can I connect your system to it in parallel or I have to install another probe sensor?

The sensor itself is quite expansive (plus installation costs) so I would like to save on this...

Does the WBO sensor have a signal conditioned output? It is not possible to read the raw signal as all wide band signal is non linear and current output.

If the output signal is conditioned for 10-22 afr = 0-5V. It will be perfect.

Richard, now Aquamist on DS3 is installed and some question rises.

Ive used 0.5mm jet.

With this jet, ive turned on SYS mode on the board and there is no baragraph segments lighted. Then i've turned the SC to the maximum clock wise position. In maximum SC position ive see only 1 segment. What i have to do?

Maybe i need to do some check in, because ive repressed this wire to get it into the motor place.

Next question about IDC 95% light. I never saw it, even i fully press acсelerometer on idlу and on riding...

This is the Citroen DS3?

The HFS3 is designed for one large jet or more. The flow table need to be reflashed for one 0.5mm jet.

We can reflash it for you but you need to send the controller back to us. Unless you have a friend with a PIC programmer, I can email you the low flow table.

Tnx! we shall think what to do

And what abot IDC 95%?
Injectors are connected correctly.
Thres and gain are on zero positions. Im not sure yet, that ive connected MAP correctly. Now i have less that 1V on idle in the MAP wire, its strange.

What additional info should i give?

The first question is fixed!

Ive turned GAIN clockwise up to the end.

So that, on the 3rd gear at full throttle ive got point of starting injection at 3000 rpm, the IDC 95% starts at 4500 at full throttle.

IDC 95% with 0.5 jet gives 200cc/min.

Looks like optimal for 1.6T engine, what do you think?

Road test passed OK.

Can you send the flow table on the email wich is in my profile? Tnx a lot! If you have some intructions what to do - it will be much better!

Tnx!

If the MAP sensor is situated post throttle, there will be vacuum there once the engine has started. 1V reading is quite normal. Can you read the same signal before cranking so we can work out what type of map sensor it is.

You can reduce the gain a bit so that you don't hit 95% too early.

I will send you instruction on the flow table.

EP6DT engine have two MAP sensors! One is situaded in the intake after the intercooler, next is situated post throttle.

I would use the post throttle. This is because you don't want to delay the system from shutting off the spray. This because the boost will continue to build at the moment the throttle is closed.

The post throttle will stop the flow the moment the throttle snapped shut.

This will only apply to "boost trigger " mode.
