Default MAP Switch Failsafe Output

Question about the orange map switch output of the ECU harness. I'm going to use it (along with the BCS failsafe) on a 32bit Subaru ECU to trigger the low IAM map via the test mode connectors.

When this output is "high", is the output current limited?

If not, is there a way to set it not to supply voltage when "high" but just pull the output down when triggered?

I still need to use the test mode connector for flashing, and I'm going to have an additional failsafe in the car tied to the same pin. I want to ensure it can be setup not to damage the HFS-3 if the orange wire is externally grounded.

Default Re: MAP Switch Failsafe Output

The current is limited to ~8mA. You can invert this output using the FS1/FS0 jumper.

Alternatively you can use this output to switch on a NPN transistor to do exactly requested.

Remove the "CLP" jumper so you can connect it directly to the test-mode connector.
