Default Sensor Calibration adjusted and engine is sloppy.

I m using the HFS-5 and the system is properly setup and runs fine.

The car is EVO7.
Water is triggered at 1.4 BAR.
pure water.
Jets are 0.5 , 0.8 and 0.9 mm.
Injectors 1,150cc.

At DDS3 dash:
WL is set at proper position.
WH is set to full clockwise.

Days ago I unintentionally adjusted the sensor calibration (SC) turning knob on the DDS3 dash to full clockwise. The engine was bogging when water was injected (1.4BAR). The ECU map stayed the same and did not switch to safe map at that time (knowing this coz I installed a map status light). I tried this several times. Same results.

Then I turned the SC back to where it should be. The car was back to normal driving under boost.

As I know , the SC has no effect on water amount injected.

What's the possible cause??
What does the Sensor Calibration (SC) effect?? Anything other than just the bar graph on the dash??

The only thing I did is adjusting the SC and it s gone bad.

Thanks,

This is weird, The SC should not have any effect on the water injection, as you have stated.

Can you do one experiment... Leave the SC as it is and set the WH (counter clockwire) so that it trips at full throttle., tell me if the same happens.

The purpose of the test was to establish which trigger listed below caused the engine to run sloppy.

1. Onset of failsafe (test requested)
2. Caused by the SC trimmer without the onset of failsafe

Not yet do the experiment.

I have some more questions..

I m running poor and inconsistent 95 octane E10 (around 90-91 octane in U.S.)
Currently the car is running @ 1.8bar with straight water and making 431 whp and 63kgfm.

1. Does meth mix really give better results than water alone? I ve read a lot of threads but still have no conclusion.

2. How to mix up a 50/50 water/meth? Volume/Volume or Weight/Weight?

3. What the octane number could I expect if I sprayed the 50/50 W/M at 20% of fuel?

4. For 50/50 W/M, do you think 11.3 AFR and 2-12 deg. timing considered a proper tuning? (I m on this.)

Thank you.
